Mac Pro Lip Palette

Mac Pro Lip Palette

6 Editorial Oranges

Mac Pro Lip Palette: 6 Editorial Oranges - $47.50CAD
Mac's new Pro Lip Palettes caught my eye during their recent launch. I decided to pick up just one and test it to see how they compare to homemade palettes. I bought the palette in Editorial Oranges. I found it to be the palette with the most variety allowing lots of room for mixing new colors. Unlike some of Mac's premade eyeshadow duos the colours in the palette itself are Mac lipsticks available for purchase from the permanent line. The whole thing costs $47.50cad for 6 lipsticks. The colours included are Bronze Shimmer, Frost; Look at her, Sheen Supreme; So Chaud, Matte; Morange, Amplified Creme; Crosswires, Cremesheen; and Sandy B; Frost. Swatches below. The average mac lipstick from the permanent collection costs $18.00cad so there is no doubt this is a good deal. There is no alterations to any of the colours, they're the exact same as when purchased in tube form. I love the pay off of this palette, the size and like I stated before the versatility. This would make a great addition to any pro's kit or a cant fail stocking stuffer for the holidays. If you have a pro store near you definitely check them out. Mac has now launched they're pro line online so these are also available for purchase site wide.

Mac Holiday Collection 2012

MAC HAULIDAY

November 8th was the official in-store launch date for Macs Holiday Collection. On the night of the 7th I was able to attend the prelaunch party held at a mac pro location near by. The party was a ton of fun! Lots of drinks, food, music and great people. We also had the opportunity to prebuy any products that we wished that night, so I ended up doing a mini haul. Products purchased are below.

GLAMOUR DAZE: HOLIDAY COLOUR

Glamour Daze Extra Dimension Skinfinish

Superb, Whisper of Gilt - $34.00 CAD

I bought both mineralize skinfinishes from the main colour collection. Superb is a bronzy rosegold sort of colour and Whisper of Gilt is a true gold. Both have amazing results. The pigmentation itself does show well but is subtle due to the shades of the product. However these are officially my new favorite highlights.

Glamour Daze Lipglass

Impossibly Sweet - $20.00 CAD
I wasn't expecting to pick up a lipglass from this collection but when I tried this on it was a give in. Impossibly Sweet is a soft peachy-pink champagne sort of colour with fuschia and silver glitter. There is a lot of shimmer but its more wearable than the average dazzle glass. This colour is a great addition to any lipstick.

PRIMPED OUT:

HOLIDAY EYE, LIP AND BRUSH KITS

Perfectly Plush Brush Kit: Mineralize

286SE, 282SE, 130SE, 187SE - $59.50 CAD
The mineralize brush set from this collection comes with the 187, 130, 286 and 282 duo fibre brushes. The entire set is $59.50 which is a good deal when the original 187 is $50.50 alone. The smaller brush handles also add more control and precision during application making these a great option. The quality however isn't exactly the same to the originals. The brushes had a few stray hairs right from purchase but so far I haven't had too many shedding issues yet. The bag the brushes come in is a peachy leopard print that matches the colour of the brush tips. The outside is full plastic and easy to wipe down. Inside is a spot to place brushes and a buttoned compartment as well.

GUILTY PASSIONS:

HOLIDAY MINI KITS

Tenderly Warm Crushed Metallic Pigments

Ever Elegant, Silk Stocking, Dreamy Little Thing, Darling Coquette - $38.50 CAD

The crushed metal pigments are a given every year. These products have amazing payoff and are so versatile and easy to work with. I bought the most neutral set of the 3; Tenderly. It comes with a champagne, a deep bronze, a cherry blossom pink and a gold copper. These colours are neutral enough to use on any part of the face which is why I chose them. I cant wait to experiment with looks. If these are still in stores near you be sure to pick one of the sets up. The packaging as well is adorable.
